The water depth exceeds 100 meters! CNOOC Investment&Construction Co., Ltd. completed the floating body assembly of the first far-reaching offshore floating wind power platform

China's first far-reaching offshore floating wind power platform "COOEC Mission Hills", invested and built by CNOOC, completed the floating body assembly at COOEC Qingdao site. The water depth of the platform exceeds 100 meters and the offshore distance exceeds 100 kilometers, which is a major milestone in the global "double hundred" offshore wind power construction.

It is reported that the "COOEC Mission Hills" platform will be installed in the offshore oil field waters 136 kilometers away from Wenchang, Hainan. It is composed of three side columns and one central column. The side length is more than 80 meters, the height is about 35 meters, and the weight is nearly 4000 tons. The fan will be installed on the central column. After the project is put into operation, the power generated by the fan will be connected to the power grid of offshore oil fields through dynamic submarine cables for oil and gas production. The annual power generation can reach 22 million kilowatt hours, which can save 7.73 million cubic meters of fuel gas and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 22000 tons.
