A few days ago, Vestas V236-15.0 MW prototype sent out the first kilowatt hour of power at the testing site - the National Wind Energy Testing Center in Westerild, Denmark, becoming the largest wind turbine with single unit capacity that has been put into operation in the world!

V236-15.0 MW will be released in February 2021, becoming the largest fan with single unit capacity in the world at that time. The unit is 280 meters high, equipped with 115.5 meters of blades, and has a swept area of 43000 square meters, breaking the global record of fan blade length and fan swept area.

Up to now, the V236-15.0 MW model has received orders from several projects, including the 900MW He Dreiht offshore wind farm in Germany, the 2.1GW Empire Wind farm in the United States, and the 1.1GW Inch Cape wind farm off the coast of Scotland, with a total capacity of more than 8GW.
